2014-D National Baseball Hall of Fame Uncirculated CLAD Half Dollar

This clad half dollar was created by the United States Mint in recognition and celebration of the National Baseball Hall of Fame which celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2014.

To honor baseball's place in America's lexicon, this was the first coin with curved features produced by the United States Mint.

Coin Details:

• Struck in layers of copper-nickel bonded to an inner core of copper.

• Obverse Design: Features a concave design of an open baseball glove with the inscriptions of “LIBERTY”, “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “2014.”

• Reverse Design: Displays a dome shaped baseball similar to those used by Major League Baseball® with detailed stitching. Inscriptions: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “HALF DOLLAR”.

• Mintage of 142,405 coins.

• This coin comes in the original U.S. Mint packaging and includes the certificate of authenticity.
